Why have a photographer at all? Many people think that having photos at a wedding is just "what you're supposed to do", like having a cake or flowers. And if that's what you feel, then we're probably NOT the photographers for you.
Really!? Photographers suggesting that you DON'T hire them!?
Yes! ...... For us, wedding photography is not about pretty pictures. It's about capturing the real essence of the day; the beauty, the fun and, above all, the love. Our couples hire us to create beautiful memories and images that will last the rest of their lives - not to take "snaps" or "pics"!
The thing is, there are lots of parts to a wedding; the dresses, wedding venue, cake, wedding breakfast, decorations, cars and, of course, the wedding photography, to name but a few. And every couple sees each of these as a different priority.
For some, having a great reception is the most important thing. For others, it's about providing an amazing wedding breakfast. Some brides must have the most expensive designer dress ever - while others will simply buy off the peg (and still look amazing!).
You may dream of the fairytale Horse & Carriage and you know this will cost far more than Dad's car. A wedding venue such as Gosfield Hall will be a lot more expensive than your local village hall. And, of course, champagne will cost you more than Asti Canti.
But ...
... if transport is not high priority for you, get Dad to drive you and save some money. If the wedding venue is not important, save some money and use the village hall. If you don't care about champagne for the toast, buy cheap bubbly (nobody will care or probably even notice!).
And the same applies to your wedding photography!
If photos are not a high priority for you and you're only after some simple "standing in a row" snap shots that anyone could take, then look to one of the cheaper, less sought after wedding photographers and save some money!
